BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Karen J. Radke, Ph.D., a nurse physiologist, has been named associate dean for academic affairs at the 猛料视频 School of Nursing.
Radke came from the 猛料视频 of Rochester, where she was an associate professor of nursing in the School of Nursing and an associate professor of pharmacology and physiology in the School of Medicine and Dentistry.
She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Loma Linda 猛料视频 School of Nursing, and a master's degree in biological sciences from Boston 猛料视频 School of Nursing. She also earned a master's degree as a family nurse practitioner from the College of Nursing at Texas Women's 猛料视频 in Houston, and obtained her doctorate in physiology, with a minor in pharmacology, from the Indiana 猛料视频 School of Medicine in 1983.
After completing her doctoral degree, Radke spent two years as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics in the College of Medicine at the 猛料视频 of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis. Her career also has taken her to Jamaica, where she held a one-year appointment as chair of the Department of Nursing Education at West Indies College in Mandeville. In addition, Radke worked for several years as a public-alth nurse in California and as a family nurse practitioner in Tennessee.
She is an active researcher in the areas of fluid-electrolyte physiology and endocrinology, and has published widely in professional and research journals. In 1997, she received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching at the 猛料视频 of Rochester School of Nursing.
Radke lives in Williamsville.
